Reggaeton Rules Latin Grammys

Puerto Rican hip-hop/reggaeton group Calle 13 took home an award in every category they were nominated in at the Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas. Calle 13 won five Latin Grammys for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Urban Album, Best Alternative Song, Best Short Form Video, and Best Tour Bus. We’re joking about that last category, but you get the idea. During a win last night, Residente, the group’s lead singer, had this to say: “To all the people who make music in this moment of independent music, to hell with record labels! This is the moment for those of us who make real music.
