Yomo
José Alberto Torres Abreu, (born on June 17, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois) better known as Yomo, is a reggaeton artist. Although born in Chicago, he mostly grew up in the barrio of Tres Puntos in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
He is the younger of three boys. His mother Luz Delia "Yiya" Abreu had to take care of them when Yomo's father abandoned them. Yomo is known for his devotion to his mother, also calling himself "El Nene De Yiya" (Yiya's little boy).
Yomo grew up wanting to be a singer, he would work as maintenance in the hotel Palmas del Mar in Humacao, Puerto Rico. There, is where Yomo wrote most of his songs and one day he met O.G. Black and Master Joe, two famous reggaeton producers in Puerto Rico.
This is where the new life as a reggaeton artist started for Yomo. Years after, he was chosen as one of the new artists for the CD Sangre Nueva Music, produced by Naldo.
Since then, he has been part of Gold Star Music label owned by Hector El Father.
He is married to Jainel Ayala who had procreated two children Mia Nikole and Ayan Alberto. Yomo also has a son from his previous marriage, Jovan "Josvi" Alberto. In 2007, Yomo plans to release his first single album called "El Cuarto Bate"
